Bangladesh

Bangladesh which is also known, as ‘The Peoples Republic of Bangladesh’ is one of the worlds most densely populated countries, with its people crammed into a delta of rivers that empties into the Bay of Bengal.

I Choose Sustainable Goal number 1,which is no poverty, number 4,which is quality education and number 5, which is gender equality for my report. I have chosen these because they are really a problem in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is an LEDC (It has been proved by UN). The land is densely populated. Most of the land forms a delta from three main rivers – Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna. And 25 percent of the country is less than 1m above sea level. Flooding is an annual event as the river burst their banks and the water enters the cities. Well actually this seasonal flooding is beneficial as it provides water for the rice and jute (These two are the main crops grown in the country) as it helps to keep the soil fertile. Bangladesh has also experienced many tropical cyclones within the past years. The land is low-lying that’s why it gets flooded easily.

Why do we call Bangladesh an LEDC?

Bangladesh is an LEDC because it is overpopulated and they don't really try to develop the country , education for the children , shelter for the orphans , food for everyone , medicals , etc.
